"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:15

ABOUT ME

I'm Amber and I'm a deeply rooted Southern gal. I take great pride in this. I have red hair, hundreds of freckles, and an Irish bloodline. I am 26 years old and a certified birth doula in training. Jesus Christ is the core of my being, the forgiver of my sins, and my depth's greatest joy. Without Him I would not be.

MY FAMILY

My husband of 7 years is my best friend in the world. We have persevered through hard times only to come out the other side stronger than ever. He is truly my hero and my heart's desire. Together we've created three fantastic children whom we adore sharing our lives with. Our family loves to roam our 3 acres of land- picking blackberries for pies, discovering interesting bugs, avoiding fire ant hills, and checking up on the garden. It's a good life.

"In the South, the breeze blows softer... neighbors are friendlier, nosier, and more talkative. (By contrast with the Yankee, the Southerner never uses one word when ten or twenty will do.) This is a different place. Our way of thinking is different, as are our ways of seeing, laughing, singing, eating, meeting and parting. Our walk is different, as the old song goes, our talk and our names. Nothing about us is quite the same as in the country to the north and west. What we carry in our memories is different too, and that may explain everything else."
-Charles Kuralt in Southerners: Portrait of a People

"It's the bits and pieces put together year after year that count. Sometimes we don't see meaning in the little things and we are not conscious of how it all works together to create a powerful image. The little things we do at home... putting wildflowers in a vase... an old photograph tucked into a frame... a lullaby each evening by the bedside... are the putty that holds the mosaic together."
-Ingrid Trobisch
